Very proud to be one of the authors of the Patients Included charter (v1.0 in May 2015). This movement was ignited by Lucien Engelen in a brilliant blog in 2012, and through the miracles of social media, it was joined by many – people and organisations alike.

Dr. Patrick Soon-Shiong is converted to digital, but he deeply values the human side of healthcare – “I look upon the human-patient relationship like a priest-parish relationship. I don’t think there will ever or should there ever be the absence of human-human interaction.”

Tony Young, the new NHS clinical director for innovation, claims that the NHS can become the a Silicon Valley for health care. How? Via “testing beds”, a National Innovation Accelerator, a more cheering up attitude, funding and prizes. Not at last, there will be “MedTech innovation briefings”. Whatever they will actually mean.
